How I justified spending $1,000 on a new iPhone
And how I'll make that money back in less than 3 months.
Hey there, I hope you are having a successful week! Slight rebrand for me this week on Twitter. I added a new banner (which you can notice above too!)
Let me know what you think, and connect with me on Twitter.
I bought the new iPhone on its release day for the first time.
Yes, I paid over $1,000 for a phone.
Someone asked me, “Why would you buy a new one if your old one worked fine?”
My reply:
“Because with a better camera and faster features, I’ll make that money back using that phone in just 3 months.”
It’s true, but not the way you think.
I will not be making sales calls or selling merchandise with this phone.
Instead, it will save me time. A lot of time.
My Time = Money
My phone has already saved me over 3 hours in one week. Here’s how:
My Work Focus Mode comes on my phone during my work schedule. This means I’m not being distracted by notifications on my phone at work.
15 minutes a day saved
The New Widgets on the lock screen allow me to check the weather and the market without opening the phone.
10 minutes a day saved
Having a 5G Network allows me to access resources and emails faster than I did on the 4G Network.
5 minutes a day saved
≈ 30 Minutes Per Day Saved
I like efficiency.
I look at that time saved as money made.
I was able to spend my saved time…
…completing a project.
…replying to a customer.
…working with a teammate.
When I’m saving myself time, I’m also saving stress, which is worth a lot.
Now it’s your turn.
What can save you time by changing?
Here are four things you can do to save time that are FREE:
Getting things ready the night before - Pick your outfit out the night before so it’s easier for you to get up and go in the morning.
Use filters in your inbox - Stop getting notified for every email. Adding filters can help move messages so you can focus on important emails.
Schedule emails - I like using the Spark Email App on my phone to schedule emails outside working hours. p.s. You can do this with the new iPhone software.
Subscriptions for staples - Amazon offers savings for subscription deliveries of staple items. Order coffee, vitamins, house supplies, etc., on a schedule, to save time and money, so you always have what you need.
