Hi, I’m Virginia. Just a quick re-introduction to me. I’m a full-stack marketer (what’s that?) working in the scrap industry with my family. I studied history in college and now study algorithms for Google and social media.
My #1 priority is always giving potential customers what they want through the internet.
So I use tools like social media, online ads, websites, emails, and much more to create the best customer experience.

Is Text Marketing the “Next Big Thing”?
A few weeks ago, I discussed the importance of email subscribers compared to social media followers. My overall sentiment is that email is a more valued marketing channel than social media. This is because you control your audience reach.
Phones are very personal. They are an extension of ourselves, and the same goes for the text messages we receive on them.
Text Message Marketing is the highest valued way to communicate with customers.
Yes, Phones get spammed…
Somehow everyone’s car warranty has expired multiple times during the year. We all get spam calls and telemarket abuse regularly. So much so that companies like Apple have created features to block these calls and texts that come through.1
There’s A Way To Non-Spam Customers
You have to add value. That value can be convenience, giveaways, or quicker service.
Here are a few ideas businesses can use text messages:
Return requests for e-commerce companies
Loyalty rewards programs for store visits
Scheduling a meeting or service call
Big Companies Are Already Doing It
One of my flights was recently canceled, and I could text my airline about it. I didn’t have to call or email. It was very convenient for rebooking my flights.
Small Businesses Should Start Now
If you are a small business owner or work with small businesses, finding ways to integrate text messages into your customer service is a good idea. If you are looking for any assistance, feel free to contact me, and I would be happy to help.
Are you using text message marketing already? I would love to hear about how you’re using it!
👩🏻🏫 What I consumed this week…
My Tweet of the Week:
Using Reels for that is a great segway to continue to build your brand - even if you are a photographer.
Years ago, when I was always on the Instagram story for NJspots, people would reply, “I didn’t know there was a person behind the account!”
As I scratched my head, I realized that people want to see others. It’s in our nature.
There was a documentary I watched once about the brain activity comparison of looking at a picture of a landscape vs. a human face. The brain SORED into a higher activity rating with a human face.
Get out there, show yourself. Say hi!
