This week was a big week in my niche site building - including ranking in less than one week. More on that below.
Hiring A Virtual Assistant
I’m excited to announce that I will have a virtual assistant starting to work with me in a few weeks. I expect them to work 15-20 hours for me during the week.
Wait, what’s a virtual assistant?
via ChatGPT: As a person, a virtual assistant (VA) is a remote worker who offers administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients from a remote location. They typically work on a freelance basis and provide flexibility and convenience to businesses and individuals.
As a full-stack, one-woman marketing team for 3 brands, over the years, I’ve tended to push tasks off to…no one.
With more significant priorities filling up my Monday.com boards, regular tasks have been left to dry in the last few years.
What is your virtual assistant going to do?
One of my goals for a VA was to provide them with tasks they don’t have to decide on. Everything is straightforward with the SOPs (what’s that?) I am training with. Some examples are:
Creating weekly MailChimp campaigns
Checking inboxes with template responses
Editing fundamental SEO changes (internal links)
Scheduling and managing social media
Creating Video Thumbnails for YouTube
Interacting with social media groups
How are you training them?
With the help of Scribe, I’m already creating and updating several SOPs with new screenshots, links, and information.
I suggest that small- to medium-sized businesses check it out, as it has a free version for easy training and recording via Chrome.
Also, I plan on bringing in some Loom videos for more complicated processes and walkthroughs.
What having a VA will do for me…
Having a VA will allow me to focus more of my time on things like:
Strategizing SEO tactics
Focusing more time on effective PPC campaigns
Build better systems for our team
I’m looking forward to having some things taken off my plate while also focusing energy and time on areas I have slacked on over the last few years.
🤔 If you had a virtual assistant, what would be the FIRST thing you would have them do?
Building My First Niche Site
😫 A Problem, 👍 Solution, & 🎉 Win
Every week I share a problem, solution, and win I’ve had with my new niche site to help you learn a bit and hopefully help you with your projects.
BIG WIN - I ranked in less than one week of building!
😫 Problem: For my life, I couldn’t figure out where to find my <head> file on my site. After some poking around, I did it through my Site Ground account.
👍 Solution: I used Cloudflare to integrate my site via WP Rocket and connect it to my Ezoic account for ad display revenue.
🎉 Win: Successfully connected my Google Analytics, Google Tag, and AdSense code (after my problem was solved).
